Description
FOR PICK UP OR SHIPPING ONLY: This is an American primitive open shelving unit, historically used as a bucket bench or for general utility storage. The piece is constructed from pine and mixed hardwoods with a heavily patinated, dark brown to black finish. The design features two fixed horizontal shelves supported by side panels with scrolled or scalloped tops and terminating in bootjack feet. The structure is reinforced by two horizontal back splats joined to the side panels via exposed through-tenons. An incised X character is located on the upper right rear horizontal rail, serving as a workman or assembly mark.
