Description

FOR PICK UP OR SHIPPING ONLY: This 19th-century American primitive hutch table is constructed of solid pine. The piece is designed for dual utility, functioning as a dining or work table when the top is horizontal and as a settle bench when the top is pivoted vertically. The tabletop is comprised of wide planks with pinned breadboard ends. The base is formed by solid vertical planks with bootjack cutout feet and contains an integrated storage chest beneath the seat. The seat is a hinged lid that opens to reveal the storage compartment. The top is secured to the base with two wooden pivot pins and rests on the side supports when in the table position. The wood has a warm, aged patina. No maker marks or labels are visible.
