Description
This large antique cylindrical flour storage bin is constructed from lithographed tin and dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The exterior features a bronzed or copper-toned metallic finish with decorative graphics on the front. A central banner contains the text FLOUR in dark serif block lettering, set against a stylized wheat sheaf background and accented with ornate Victorian scrolling flourishes. The container includes a fitted lid with a centered wire loop handle and two additional wire handles attached to the sides for transport. The construction features a vertical seam and rolled edges.
