Description
A trio of antique cast iron sad irons, historically used as domestic pressing tools before the advent of electricity. These irons are solid-cast items designed to be heated directly on a stove. The collection consists of two irons with traditional strap handles and one iron featuring a more refined cast-in handle with a contoured grip. One specimen is marked on the top plate with embossed numerals 4 and 8, likely indicating model size or weight. An embossed circular mark is present above the numerals but is obscured by oxidation. The remaining two irons lack visible manufacturer branding. All three items feature pointed noses and flat bases typical of late 19th to early 20th-century construction.
