Description
This lot features a pair of decorative bookends designed with a prominent, stylized fleur-de-lis motif. Each piece incorporates a raised, studded band across the center and is mounted on a rectangular plinth base with a beaded border. The reverse side of each bookend is flat for flush placement against books. These items are cast from a heavy composite or resin material and treated with an applied verdigris finish. The finish displays mottled green highlights over a dark bronze-toned base, replicating the appearance of aged, patinated metal. The undersides are finished similarly and are equipped with circular felt protective pads. No manufacturer marks or signatures are present.
