Description
This vintage dairy container is a half-pint liquid milk bottle from Von-Allmen Bros. Inc. of Louisville, Kentucky. The bottle is constructed of heavy, clear molded glass and features a thick, rounded rim. The front of the vessel displays several embossed inscriptions. At the top, the words HALF PINT LIQUID are embossed in an arched format. Below this is a circular logo featuring a diagonal banner with the text VON-ALLMEN, and the words BROS. INC. and LOUISVILLE positioned beneath the banner. The lower edge of the bottle is embossed with the word REGISTERED. The underside of the base features an embossed monogram mark consisting of an intertwined V and A surrounding a small central S. The bottle displays vertical mold seams characteristic of mid-20th-century machine production.
