A three-volume set of the collected works of George Eliot, published by P.F. Collier and Son of New York. The volumes are bound in the publisher’s original brown cloth with ornate blind-stamped decorative borders and central medallion motifs on the boards. The front covers and spines feature the title in a flourished gold-gilt script. Volume 1 includes Adam Bede, The Mill on the Floss, and Romola. Volume 2 includes Middlemarch and Daniel Deronda. Volume 3 includes Felix Holt, Silas Marner, The Lifted Veil, Brother Jacob, Amos Barton, Theophrastus Such, The Spanish Gypsy, The Legend of Jubal, and His Other Poems. The publisher’s name Collier is stamped at the base of each spine. The volumes are octavo in size.
