Description
This lot consists of two pieces of American pewter tableware. The first item is a cocktail shaker of circular donut form mounted on a flared pedestal base. It features a C-scroll handle and a short cylindrical pouring spout. The piece is completed with a removable friction-fit cap featuring a stepped knob. The flat faces of the circular body are decorated with a single incised ring. The second item is a bell-shaped mug produced by Towle Silversmiths in the Colonial Revival style. The mug features a flared rim and a stepped circular foot, with an ornate cast double-scroll handle that includes a decorative thumb rest and terminal. The underside of the mug is stamped with a central ship’s wheel logo and marked NEWBURYPORT PEWTER and TOWLE between two five-pointed stars, with the model number 7644 located below.
