This lot comprises two pieces of 19th-century American salt-glazed stoneware. The first item is a small cylindrical crock or jar, often identified as a beater jar, featuring a reinforced, slightly flared rim and a single hand-painted horizontal cobalt blue band. The second item is a bulbous stoneware jar or large mug with a wide, flared rim and a single applied loop handle. This piece features a light cream salt-glazed exterior and a dark brown Albany-type slip glaze on the interior. No maker’s marks or capacity stamps are visible on either item.
