This collection of antique glass beverage bottles features several examples from Louisville, Kentucky, produced in amber, light aqua, and clear glass. The group includes two bottles from the Oertel Brewing Company, one clear and one amber, both displaying an embossed shield logo with an OE monogram above Louisville and the Oertel name in cursive script. A third amber bottle is embossed with OERTEL on the body and LOUISVILLE on the shoulder. Also included is a light aqua bottle embossed with the cursive brand name Parfay above the text REGISTERED, KENTUCKY – PARFAY, and LOUISVILLE, KY. The assortment is completed by a dark amber bottle featuring a fluted base and embossing for G.H. SPRINGER JR. TRADE MARK surrounding a GAS monogram and LOUISVILLE, KY. REGISTERED. These items represent regional bottling and brewing history from the late 19th to early 20th century.
