Quilted Cotton Wall Hanging Featuring Feline and Gardening Motifs
Description
This decorative quilted wall hanging or small lap quilt is constructed from cotton or cotton-blend fabrics with a synthetic or cotton batting. The center design features six rectangular panels, each containing a circular scene depicting whimsical illustrations of white cats with red bows, a small house, and gardening elements including baskets of strawberries and sun hats. These central panels are separated by sashing made from a white fabric with a small-scale green floral print. The outer border is composed of a dark green fabric with a white floral print, further embellished with individual appliquéd or printed motifs of cats, baskets, and hats. The piece is finished with a satin-style binding edge in a tan color. The entire textile is secured with machine-stitched meandering or stipple quilting. The reverse side is not visible in the images, and there are no maker’s marks, labels, or signatures present on the face of the item.Length: approximately 48 1/2 inches.
