Description
A large mid-century modern decorative wall hanging depicting a peacock with a fully fanned tail. The piece is constructed from molded plastic featuring an intricate, pierced openwork design for the plumage. It is finished in a metallic gold tone, with a green iridescent wash applied to the bird body and the centers of the tail feathers. The peacock is depicted in profile, standing upon a molded foliate base. The reverse side shows the hollow construction typical of molded resin or plastic decorative arts from this period.
