A Collection of Vintage Glass Marbles in a Clear Glass Mason Jar
Description
This lot consists of a collection of vintage glass marbles housed in a clear glass storage jar. The marbles are constructed from glass and display a range of earthy tones, including brown, amber, ochre, cream, and dark purple. The collection features various patterns, including swirls, spots, and concentric “eye” motifs. Many examples exhibit a surface quality characteristic of slag glass or stone-like aesthetics. The marbles fill approximately 12 ounces of the container’s volume.The collection is contained within a clear glass mason jar. The jar body features raised molded text including Cups and Oz alongside measurement increments. The numbers 1, 2 are visible next to the ounce line, and 1/2 is molded next to a cup line. The jar is secured with a two-piece metal screw-on lid with a brass-tone finish.
