Pair of Brass and Glass Floral Paperweight Andirons
Description
A pair of decorative andirons featuring cast brass or bronze bases, turned balusters, and oversized glass components. The glass elements are designed in a paperweight style, with internal white floral inclusions and controlled air bubbles. Each andiron consists of a large ovoid glass section near the base and a spherical glass finial at the top. The brass supports are cast in a Neoclassical style with scrolling feet and a central shield-shaped motif at the base, topped with a starburst medallion. The iron log supports are attached to the rear with a pinned joint. The bases show a dark, aged patina and evidence of oxidation.
