Trio of Fenton Glass Slipper Figurines in Hobnail and Daisy and Button Patterns
Description
This lot features three pressed glass decorative slipper figurines, characterized by a high-heeled boot form with a pointed, upturned toe. The collection includes two slippers in a Hobnail pattern and one in a Daisy and Button pattern. The first Hobnail slipper is composed of opaque white milk glass and features a crimped rim with a molded cat head motif at the front of the instep. The second Hobnail slipper is crafted from translucent glass in an Amberina colorway, showing a color gradient that shifts from yellow-orange at the base and heel to deep ruby red at the toe and rim; this piece also includes the molded cat head motif. The third slipper is executed in the Daisy and Button pattern in translucent Amberina glass, featuring a smooth rim and no cat head motif.The white milk glass slipper bears a molded oval mark on the interior sole. The mark consists of a raised oval containing the cursive name Fenton above a small numeral 9.
