Lot 472:
Sold for: $25
Description
This lot comprises three vintage slip-joint pliers manufactured from forged steel. The tools feature a two-position adjustable pivot, serrated jaws for gripping, and integrated wire cutters near the hinge. The first pair is stamped with the impressed text BLUE GRASS over 3-8 on the handle near the pivot (photo 2). The second pair bears a more extensive impressed mark reading BLUE GRASS above BELKNAP HDWE & MFG. CO. (photo 3). The third pair displays a similar impressed mark reading BLUE GRASS over BELKNAP HDWE & MFG. CO., though the stamping is partially obscured by surface oxidation (photo 3). One handle of the middle pair features handwritten characters in white ink, including 6013 and what appears to be the initials B C (photo 4). The handles are finished with a knurled or textured surface to provide a secure grip during use. Length: 8 inches (measured at the longest point of the handles).
