An assortment of industrial business ephemera and awards relating to Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. of Louisville, Kentucky. The group includes various three-ring and spiral-bound manuals and catalogs. Notable titles include a blue binder labeled Blue Grass Rotary Mowers, Riding Mowers, Compact Tractors, Rotary Tillers, Shredder/Baggers, Snow Throwers; a white binder for the Blue Grass Stores Program; a white binder titled Belknap home furnishings; a yellow manual titled Belknap, Inc. Garden Tools Lawn Mowers Lawn Hose Dept. 2 No. 171; a gray binder for Belknap Special Promotions; and several red binders featuring the Belknap Inc. Since 1840 oval logo. Several items feature the Blue Grass trade mark. Included are three wooden wall plaques with metal plates. One features a silver-toned plate with an etched scroll design titled Silver Anniversary Award 1954 – 1979 Belknap, Inc. presented by Woods Wire Products, Inc. A second plaque features a gold-toned plate titled 1979 President Club Award Presented to Belknap Inc. by Progress Lighting. The third plaque is a black wooden board with a silver-toned metal scroll titled Testament of Recognition Presented to Belknap Hardware & Mfg. Co. on behalf of Turtle Wax Products, featuring a Turtle Wax logo and a 25 year seal, signed B.F. Hirsch, Chairman of the Board. Materials include vinyl-covered cardboard, paper, wood, and metal. One binder measures approximately 11.5 inches in height.
