Description
An assortment of vintage and antique utility, household, and specialized scissors and shears. The collection includes several pairs of heavy-duty tailor shears with offset handles, one featuring a black-painted finish. The grouping contains various forms including household scissors, embroidery-style scissors, and kitchen shears. One pair of kitchen shears with red-painted handles features serrated blades, a built-in bottle opener, and a mark on the pivot consisting of a bird-like symbol positioned over a V shape. Another pair of household scissors bears an impressed mark reading U S A on the shank. The tools are constructed from steel with various handle treatments including chrome plating and painted finishes. The largest pair of shears measures approximately 14.5 inches in total length.
