Description
A circular porcelain enamel on metal advertising sign for Pontiac Authorized Service. The sign features a dark blue outer ring with white block lettering arched across the top and bottom. The center is a white circle containing a red graphic profile of a Native American head in the mid-twentieth century style. Two white five-pointed stars flank the central graphic, and the word AUTHORIZED appears in small blue capital letters above it. The face of the sign shows a glossy, slightly domed finish. At the bottom edge, a printed white line of text reads: GENERAL MOTORS TRADEMARKS USED UNDER LICENSE TO ANDE ROONEY INC. The reverse side of the sign has a gray, textured finish. The sign is constructed with four pre-drilled mounting holes, each fitted with a metal grommet. The sign measures approximately 11 3/4 inches in diameter across the center.
