Description
A vintage cast iron still bank depicting a Native American chief in a saluting or scouting posture. The figure is modeled wearing a feathered headdress with blue and red details, a necklace, and fringed buckskin-style trousers. A tomahawk is represented tucked into a belt at the waist. The bank is constructed of two cast halves joined by a single flat-head screw located on the reverse. A coin slot is positioned horizontally on the upper back of the figure. The exterior retains remnants of a polychrome cold-painted finish in shades of brown, white, blue, and red. No maker’s marks, foundry names, or country of origin marks are visible on the exterior surfaces. The figure stands approximately 6 1/2 inches tall.
