Description

A collection of 20 gauge shotgun shells housed in their original Federal Cartridge Corp. Hi-Power box. The rectangular cardboard box is printed with a light blue ground featuring a central illustration of a mallard duck in flight over a silhouette of pine trees. The typography is rendered in bold yellow and red, including the brand “HI-POWER” and “FEDERAL CARTRIDGE CORP. MINNEAPOLIS, U.S.A.” The top panel of the box includes a printed illustration of a shotgun shell and specifications reading “2 3/4 DRS. 1 OZ. 6”. The side panels repeat the Federal branding and display illustrations of the ammunition. The top right corner of the front and side panels indicates “20 GA”, while the lower corners show “25” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” The interior contains an assortment of spent and unspent paper-hull shotgun shells. Several shells feature red paper hulls with brass heads. The brass heads are stamped “FEDERAL HI-POWER 20”. The top wads of the shells are visible, with some bearing the printed numbers “6” and “9”, while others show the word “MAXIMUM”. A handwritten price or inventory mark “75” in dark ink is present on the top flap. The height of the box measures approximately 4 inches.
