Description
A mid-century portable metal ice chest featuring a rectangular body with a hinged lid. The exterior is finished in light blue paint on the front, back, and lid, with black-painted side panels. The front panel bears a multi-colored adhesive decal. Centered on the left of the decal is a circular logo containing the script name Carlco. To the right of the logo, the text reads PORTABLE / PIC-NIK / rustproof / ICE CHEST / NO. 12 / CARLISLE MFG. CO. / NEWARK N. J. The chest is constructed with two metal hinges at the rear and two wire-bale latches at the front to secure the lid. Two drop-handle grips are mounted to the side panels for transport. The interior is finished with an off-white coating. Length: 20 1/4 inches Depth: 10 1/4 inches Height: 12 1/4 inches.
