Description
A vintage US military flyers kit bag constructed from heavy-duty olive drab canvas. The bag features an integrated wrap-around webbing handle system and a full-length metal zipper closure secured by a buttoned storm flap with four metal snap fasteners. The side of the bag bears a faded blue printed stencil identifying the item. The readable text in the stencil states KIT BAG, FLYERS / Industries Ft Bliss / Date: Nov., 1980 / Part No. 11-1- / U.S. 12. The name RICH and an alphanumeric sequence are handwritten in black ink on the upper portion of the bag near the handles. The bag is reinforced with horizontal webbing straps that encircle the body for structural integrity. Length: Approximately 28 inches as measured across the widest point.
