Description
A contemporary acrylic painting on a deep-edge stretched canvas by the artist Holly Rhodes. The composition features a stylized tree with a broad brown trunk and a dense canopy composed of numerous leaf-shaped forms in a vibrant palette of red, blue, green, and orange. The forms are defined by heavy black outlines, suggestive of oil pastel or grease pencil, set against a multi-toned yellow and cream background with visible impasto texture. The lower-right quadrant contains the handwritten scripture from the Book of Joshua: “Be strong and courageous… The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9”.
