Description
This lot consists of three commercial offset lithograph prints featuring parenting advice and child development themes. Two of the prints are matching in size and format, presented in identical oak-finish wood frames. The first print is titled What All Children Want Their Parents to Know… and features a color photograph of three children lying on a brick path, with alternating sections of blue and pink text below. A copyright line at the bottom reads 1996 Written by Julia Loomans and her mother Diane Loomans. The second tall print is titled CHILDREN NEED… and presents an alphabetical acrostic of children’s needs from A to Z, accented with faint red line-art illustrations of toys and childhood symbols. The bottom of the print is inscribed – Written by Meiji Stewart -. The third print, titled 101 Ways to Praise a Child, is a rectangular work displayed in a black frame with a wide gold-toned mat. It contains a dense field of multi-colored typographic phrases of encouragement surrounded by a geometric patterned border. These prints are characteristic of educational or childcare environment decor. All items are housed under glass or acrylic.
