Description
A vintage commercial-grade industrial waste receptacle featuring a rectangular body of white painted metal. The unit is equipped with a step-on foot pedal mechanism at the base which operates a hinged top lid. The lid is secured with a full-width metal piano hinge at the rear. The receptacle is designed for fire safety, evidenced by its heavy-duty metal construction and specialized labeling. The front upper portion of the container features an embossed mark consisting of the word UNITED inside a diamond-shaped border, with the words POTTSVILLE, PA. positioned directly below it. To the left of this mark, a rectangular metallic adhesive label bears a circled UL logo and reads WASTE PAPER CONTAINER, MODEL NO 6112 SERIES, FIRE FIGHTER by, United Metal Receptacle Corp, Pottsville, PA.
