Description
This American solid oak side chair is a product of the Richardson Brothers Company, featuring a traditional Windsor hoop-back design. The construction includes a steam-bent outer hoop enclosing seven turned spindles with paddle-shaped centers, all set into a thick, contoured saddle seat. The chair is supported by four turned legs reinforced with a double H-stretcher assembly. The underside of the seat bears a black stamped mark reading RICHARDSON BROTHERS COMPANY SINCE 1848 MADE IN THE USA 9 1991 591. Additionally, there are handwritten white characters reading 324 on the underside of the seat. The piece is finished in a consistent medium-oak stain. The feet are fitted with white plastic and metal floor glides.
