Description
A vintage Welch Allyn wall-mounted medical diagnostic power station constructed of cream-colored plastic housing with black accents. The unit consists of two vertical rectangular modules. The left module features a black rotary rheostat knob for light intensity adjustment and two black plastic cradles for instrument storage. The right module contains a green illuminated rocker power switch. Two chrome-finished metal handles are attached to the unit via black coiled rubberized cords. A printed black label on the front of the left module reads WELCH ALLYN. The top surface bears bilingual adhesive warning labels in English and French reading DANGER—POSSIBLE EXPLOSION HAZARD IF USED IN PRESENCE OF FLAMMABLE ANESTHETICS and DANGER—RISQUE D’EXPLOSION—NE PAS EMPLOYER EN PRESENCE D’ANESTHESIQUES INFLAMMABLES. A black power cord extends from the base for connection to an external power source.The main housing measures approximately 7 inches in width and 7 inches in height.
