Description
This lot features a pair of 1/16 scale die-cast model tractors manufactured by Ertl that have been professionally or semi-professionally customized into detailed scenic dioramas. Both models are mounted on finished wooden bases. The first diorama depicts an International tractor featuring dual rear wheels and a wide front axle. It is presented in a winter theme with heavy applications of simulated snow and frost over a weathered red body with visible International decals. The tractor is set into a field of artificial moss and white scenic texture on a green-painted base. The second diorama features a McCormick Farmall tractor with a narrow tricycle front end and an IH logo on the frame. This model is finished in an abandoned, derelict style with a heavy faux-rust patina, faded red paint, and tires painted in a flat grey to simulate aged rubber. It is surrounded by thick green artificial moss to represent an overgrown field and is mounted on an orange-painted base. Both models are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components and various mixed-media scenic elements.
