Description
A collection of six molded plastic model train shells and bodies manufactured by Lionel. The set includes various diesel locomotive, passenger car, and freight car shells intended for O-gauge display or restoration. The group consists of one New Haven Alco PA style diesel locomotive shell finished in the silver, white, orange, and black McGinnis livery, bearing the number 2242 on the nose and the NH logo on the rear side. Also included is a silver-painted Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDC-1) shell featuring a maroon window stripe and molded passenger silhouettes. Two Santa Fe F3 style locomotive shells are present, one in the classic red and silver Warbonnet livery and the other in a red and black color scheme; both feature Santa Fe and General Motors logo decals. The set is completed by two silver-painted Sunoco dual-dome tank car shells featuring the yellow diamond logo and technical specifications for an 8000-gallon capacity. All items are hollow shells and do not include motors, chassis, trucks, or internal mechanical components. The New Haven shell is marked BLT BY LIONEL, and the tank cars are marked BUILT BY LIONEL. Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDC-1) shell: 15 1/4 inches length, 2 1/2 inches width.
