Description
This is a pair of vintage Lionel model railroad accessories, specifically No. 45 and No. 45N Gateman shacks with integrated railroad crossing signs. These accessories are designed for use with O-gauge model train layouts and demonstrate different production eras from the manufacturer. One unit features a painted metal shack and a metal crossing sign on a stamped metal base, while the other unit features a plastic shack and plastic crossing sign on a stamped metal base. These are electrical, solenoid-operated accessories intended to open the door and swing a gateman figure out when powered. The plastic crossing sign post is marked Lionel with part number 309-29. Both crossing signs feature a crossbuck marked Railroad Crossing. The bases are finished in green paint.
