Description
A pair of sterling silver iced tea spoons manufactured by Towle Silversmiths in the Candlelight pattern, which was introduced in 1934. Each spoon features an elongated handle designed for use with tall glassware. The decoration consists of delicate floral and scroll motifs along the borders of the handle, flanking a smooth, recessed central panel. The back of each handle bears the stamped hallmark for Towle Silversmiths (a stylized lion holding a staff within a shield), the words TOWLE STERLING in block capital letters, and the pattern name Candlelight in a cursive script.
