Description
This set of vitrified glazed earthenware bowls is from the contemporary Fiesta line produced by the Homer Laughlin China Company. The group includes four bowls in the Gusto form, which features a deep, steep-sided well and a flat base with a raised, unglazed foot ring. Each bowl is decorated with signature molded concentric rings near the exterior rim. The set includes one bowl in Cobalt blue, one in Plum, and two in a medium green shade, likely Shamrock. Two of the bowls (one blue and one green) feature molded concentric rings at the interior center base, while the other two have smooth interior bases. The undersides of the bowls bear factory marks; the cobalt and green examples have impressed marks under the glaze showing the script Fiesta name above a circular HLC USA stamp, and the plum example features an ink-stamped mark under the glaze with the script Fiesta name and registered trademark symbol above HLC USA.
