Description
This lot consists of two ornate wedding-themed musical egg carriages, each presented under a glass cloche on a circular wooden base. These pieces are designed in the tradition of Faberge-style egg art. The first carriage features a cream-colored egg with a glitter-textured surface, accented by gold-tone filigree and inset clear crystals. Two hinged doors open outward to reveal a miniature figurine of a bride and groom dancing. The egg is mounted on a white velvet-covered rectangular plinth atop a four-wheeled gold-tone metal carriage base with scrolling decorative motifs. The underside features a gold-tone winding key for a Sankyo musical movement. The second carriage features a cobalt blue egg decorated with rows of small white faux pearls and gold-tone filigree. A central opening depicts a seated bride and groom figurine. The base of the egg is adorned with a heart-shaped gold-tone emblem surrounded by pearls. The egg is mounted on a matching blue velvet-covered rectangular plinth atop an identical four-wheeled gold-tone metal carriage.
