Description
A set of six sterling silver teaspoons in the Buttercup pattern by the Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. Introduced in 1899, this pattern is characterized by dense Art Nouveau floral relief featuring buttercups and roses with scrolled edges. The front of each handle terminal is engraved with a Gothic script monogram B. The reverse of each handle is marked with the Gorham company hallmarks: a lion passant, an anchor, and a Gothic letter G, followed by the word STERLING. Weight: 264 grams.
