Description
This lot consists of two pieces of vintage Jade-ite glassware manufactured by Fire-King. The first item is a footed 1-quart measuring pitcher featuring a D-shaped handle and an integrated pouring spout. The exterior is embossed with three columns of measurements: the left column provides increments in quarts and pints (1 QT, 1 1/2 PTS, 1 PT, 1/2 PT), the center column provides numerical units (4, 3, 2, 1, 1/2), and the right column provides increments in cups and ounces (4 CUPS – 32 OZ, 3 CUPS – 24 OZ, 2 CUPS – 16 OZ, 1 CUP – 8 OZ, 1/2 CUP – 4 OZ). The second item is a spouted mixing bowl, or batter bowl, with a matching D-shaped handle and a stepped rim design. Both pieces are constructed of opaque green milk glass. The base of the measuring pitcher bears an embossed mark reading OVEN Fire-King WARE 14 MADE IN U.S.A. Measuring Pitcher Height: 5.75 inches Measuring Pitcher Width: 8 inches (spout to handle).
