Description
This pair of solid sterling silver forks is in the Candlelight pattern, which was first introduced in 1934 by Towle Silversmiths. The handles feature a mid-century traditional floral motif characterized by scrolled leaf borders and small floral accents. The reverse of each handle is stamped with the Towle manufacturer symbol of a shield emblem containing a stylized lion or griffin head, the word TOWLE, the purity mark STERLING, and the pattern name Candlelight in a cursive script font. Based on their size, these pieces are identified as salad or dessert forks. Length: 6 3/8 inches each Weight: 74 grams.
