Description
A large, shallow centerpiece bowl featuring a cobalt blue cased glass layer over a clear crystal base. The piece is decorated using intricate cut-to-clear techniques. The interior base displays a complex starburst design with multi-point facets centered within a circular blue medallion, surrounded by a wide band of fine radial miter cuts. The exterior walls are characterized by a repeating pattern of large fan or palmette motifs separated by triangular panels. These panels contain a finely cut diamond-point or strawberry diamond pattern, accented by small blue circular highlights at the intersections. The bowl is finished with a deep, undulating scalloped rim. The style and execution are consistent with 20th-century Bohemian glass production, specifically resembling work in the style of Caesar Crystal Bohemiae, though no maker mark is present.
