Description

SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – An antique American four-drawer chest of drawers in the Cottage or Primitive style, dating from the late 19th century. The piece is constructed primarily of pine with a warm finish. The drawers feature machine-made Knapp joints, also known as pin-and-scallop joints, which were a hallmark of American furniture manufacturing between approximately 1870 and 1900. Each drawer is fitted with two turned wooden mushroom-style knobs and a central keyhole. The chest features a simple shaped apron and bracket-style feet integral to the side panels. The back is constructed of original vertical wood planks. Secondary woods used for the drawer interiors and back panels appear to be pine or a similar soft wood.Height: 38 inchesWidth: 40 1/2 inchesDepth: 17 inches.
