Description
A limited edition collector print titled Berry Pickin, after an original watercolor by the Kentucky artist Paul Sawyier. The scene depicts a nostalgic rural landscape near Frankfort, Kentucky, featuring a woman and a child walking down a sun-dappled lane bordered by a stone wall and dense foliage. The work is rendered in the artist’s signature tonalist style with a soft palette of greens, blues, and earth tones. A printed signature Paul Sawyier is visible in the lower-left corner of the image. The piece is housed under glass in a gold-toned wooden frame with a cream-colored mat and a gold-finished inner bevel. The verso features an extensive descriptive and authentication label from the Frankfort Blue Print Co. of Frankfort, Kentucky, which identifies the print as part of a limited edition of 2,500 and notes that the original printing plates have been destroyed.
