Description
SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – A two-piece American primitive-style kitchen cupboard or hutch, likely dating from the early 20th century. Constructed from softwood, possibly pine, the piece features a heavily distressed white painted finish with prominent alligatoring and paint loss throughout. The upper section contains two doors with arched glass panels decorated with center-placed floral decals depicting teapots and plates. The interior of the upper section is fitted with two full-width shelves. The lower section includes a single wide drawer positioned above two inset-paneled cabinet doors. A notable design feature is the presence of two circular screened ventilation holes on the sides of both the top and bottom sections, totaling eight vents, suggesting original use as a food safe or larder. The back is constructed of horizontal wood planks. Hardware includes brass-toned metal bail handles with decorative backplates on the drawer and simple metal surface hinges on the doors.
