Description
A tabletop pedestal swivel mirror, also referred to as a dressing or psyche mirror, executed in the Persian Isfahan style. The object is constructed from brass and copper with silver-toned decorative elements. The mirror features an elaborate, high-relief surround of pierced metal. The decorative crest and side wing supports are embellished with intricate bird and floral motifs. The oval mirror plate is housed within a brass frame characterized by a thin copper-toned inner rim. The mirror is mounted on a rectangular pedestal base cast with scrolling foliate patterns, supported by four bracket feet. No maker marks, signatures, or stamps are present on the base or reverse.Height: 24.5 inchesWidth: 14.5 inchesDepth: 5.5 inches.
