Description
SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – An antique American country style blanket or storage chest. The primary wood, possibly walnut or cherry, features highly figured grain on the front panels, while the secondary wood is pine or poplar, as seen on the back and interior. The chest is designed with a rectangular hinged lid containing a recessed central panel. The front facade consists of two large recessed panels divided by a vertical central stile, all set above a simple base molding with integrated block feet. The interior has been lined with a later yellow and brown plaid fabric. On the underside of the lid, three green-painted wooden battens provide reinforcement. The back of the chest is constructed from a single wide board of secondary wood. The lid is attached with metal butt hinges; no lock or handles are present.Height: 16.5 inchesWidth: 48 inchesDepth: 18.5 inches.
