Description
This set of matching stemmed cordial or liqueur glasses is crafted from ruby-to-clear cased crystal. The deep ruby red outer layer has been hand-cut to reveal the clear crystal underneath in an intricate decorative pattern. The cutting is organized into three horizontal registers: the upper register features stylized vertical fan motifs, the middle register displays a geometric band of alternating cross-hatched diamond panels and starbursts, and the lower register consists of a series of large oval thumbprint cuts. Each glass features a clear crystal baluster stem with a single central knop, resting on a plain, circular clear crystal foot. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the pieces. The craftsmanship and style are consistent with mid-20th century Bohemian or Continental European glass production.Height: 4 inchesRim Diameter: 2 inches.
