Description
This is a limited edition photomechanical lithograph reproduction after an original watercolor titled The Stone Bridge by American Impressionist artist Paul Sawyier (1865-1917). The landscape depicts a rural scene with a stream in the foreground leading toward a distant stone bridge and small outbuildings under an autumnal canopy. The work is signed in the plate at the lower left and is hand-numbered in pencil 112/1500. The print is professionally housed in an ornate gilt-finished wood frame with a double mat consisting of a cream-colored outer mat and a dark burgundy inner border. The verso retains a detailed authentication label from Paul Sawyier Galleries, Inc., Frankfort, Kentucky, identifying this as a reproduction printed in 1997. A framer’s label for Jessie’s Art Gallery and Custom Framing of Frankfort, Kentucky is also present on the paper backing.Framed dimensions: 19 x 27.5 inches.
