Description
SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE, FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY – A mid-20th-century cherry wood dresser with an attached mirror assembly manufactured by the Davis Cabinet Company of Nashville, Tennessee. The piece is constructed in an American Empire revival style and finished in the manufacturer’s Collectors Cherry finish. The dresser features a seven-drawer configuration, including three small drawers over two full-width drawers in the main carcass, complemented by two small jewel or glove drawers on the top surface. The drawers are fitted with turned wooden mushroom knobs. The front corners of the chest are defined by heavy ring-turned and reeded columns that lead down to turned bun feet. The large oval mirror is mounted between two curved harp-style supports featuring carved rosettes at the base and scroll finials at the top. The reverse of the dresser carries a rectangular yellow paper label printed with 325 DRESSER / STOCK NO. / COLLECTORS CHERRY / FINISH / DAVIS CABINET COMPANY. The reverse of the mirror features a similar label from the Logan Porter Mirror Co., which includes a handwritten date of April 2, 1953.Width: 48 inchesDepth: 22 inchesOverall Height: 74 inches.
