Description
This Marlin Model 100 is a classic single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered to accept .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle cartridges. It features a 24-inch blued steel barrel and a matching blued receiver mounted in a one-piece wood stock with a walnut-colored finish and a black synthetic buttplate. The rifle utilizes a manual cocking action where the operator must pull the cocking piece at the rear of the bolt after chambering a round. It is equipped with a fixed bead front sight and a notched rear leaf sight that is elevator-adjustable for elevation. The wood stock is designed with a straight comb and integrated pistol grip. An attached hang tag identifies the manufacturer and model as Marlin Model 100. Measurement indicates an overall length of approximately 39.5 inches. No serial number is visible, which is common for firearms of this type manufactured prior to 1968.
