Description
This wall-mounted storage cabinet is a decorative piece repurposed from a vintage National Washboard Company washboard. The unit utilizes the original washboard frame as a hinged door, which is attached to a custom-built wooden cabinet box. The door features a brass-plated textured metal scrubbing surface with a rope or cable pattern. The interior of the cabinet contains two fixed wooden shelves, creating three distinct storage compartments. The cabinet is finished with black-painted metal hardware, including two side-mounted hinges, a small circular door knob, and a hook-and-eye latch. For mounting, a metal hanging wire is secured to the reverse side with D-ring brackets.The front upper wooden panel is stamped in black ink with the following text: THE BRASS, TOP NOTCH, SANITARY FRONT DRAIN, and THE BOARD WILL DO THE WORK. The interior side of the door (the original back of the washboard) contains additional stamped information: National Washboard Co., No 801, TRADE MARKS REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
