The Dude Living Estate- Cast Iron, Gold, Range Rover & Atv's with Additions
Lot 8:
Sold for: $25
Description
This vintage cast iron doorstop is a single-sided relief casting of an ornate horse-drawn carriage or stagecoach. The design features a detailed enclosed carriage with four spoked wheels pulled by a pair of harnessed horses. The piece retains portions of its original polychrome paint, including white, green, and gold accents. The reverse side of the object is hollow-cast and features the incised mold number 572 on the back of the carriage body. This mold number is believed but not verified to be a documented identifier for items produced by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The entire scene is supported by an integral elongated base. 4″X19″X9″
