Description
A pair of vintage cast iron still banks featuring two canine subjects. The collection includes one figure modeled in the style of Nipper, the advertising mascot for RCA Victor and HMV, depicted as an upright terrier with a white body, brown ears, and a black studded collar. The second figure features a seated bulldog with a tan painted finish and a green collar. Each bank is manufactured using a two-part cast metal mold joined by a central flat-head screw. Vertical coin slots are located on the upper back and neck of the figures. Both pieces display the textured surface characteristic of traditional sand-casting methods. No manufacturer marks, labels, or patent stamps are visible on the exterior of either item.
